Sweet Pork Leg


pork leg? usually eat the Chinese vinegar style, super yummy! this time i make the party style pork leg, boil and bake. buy the frozen pork legs from Jusco, one for about $36, it's Canadian salty pork leg. all people loves this dish except my husband, because this recipe is sweet style and he doesn't like foods which is sweet or sour, of course no good comment from him, but never mind, my kids love it very much. in the next morning, Avery wakes up and asks me if i can eat the sweet pork leg as my breakfast, haaaa!!

ingredients
frozen pig leg 2 pcs
black pepper some

for the sauce
malt syrup 200g
water 2Tsp
ginger juice 1tsp
rock sugar 40g
salt 1tsp

  1. wash the pork legs, then boil them for 1 hour
  2. melt malt syrup under hot water
  3. mix the rest of the sauce ingredients and steam until rock sugar is melt
  4. then mix #2 and #3 together to prepare the sauce
  5. preheat oven at 200C and bake for 25mins
  6. sprinkle pepper and brush the honey sauce on pork legs
  7. turn the pork legs and bake for another 20mins at 180C
  8. let cool and brush honey sauce all over before serve
* skip the pepper if for kids, and sprinkle them when u eat
