i finally make the chinese bun, i've been talking about this new project for at least 2 months, it's very successful, from the kneading part i think there is something wrong, because the dough is not soft and not raising at all and i want to give up and start over tomorrow, but then i keep doing it until the end ... woo wow .... when i open the lid of the wok, aiya, the buns become double of the size and the outlook are so wonderful, and the taste is good, i am so happy i didn't give up, and avery eats 3 buns and chloe eats 1.
ingredients
flour 3 cups
baking powder 1tsp
milk 1 1/4cup
sugar 3tsp
yeast 1 1/2tsp
- mix sugar, yeast and milk together
- put the rest of the ingredients into #1
- kneading until smooth
- cover the dough, set aside for 10mins
- flatten it and make a long roll
- cut into the desire shape and size
- put each bun on the baking paper
- set aside for another 10mins
- steam with cold water first, until the steam comes out, about 4mins
- turn to the small fire and steam for another 10mins
