Animal Cookies

tomorrow we have kids gathering, plan to have bbq but no helper on sunday, so finally we decided to cook instead, i make mushroom and shrimp pastry, and animal cookies (butter and chocolate favor), it's not easy to roll the cookie in the desired thickness, 3mm to 4mm, and not easy to use cookie cutters too, as u can see from the photos, the head or the foot of the giraffe is broken, but at least the other 5 animals are perfect!! ingredients unsalted butter 120g icing sugar 80g salt pinch egg yolk 1 cake flour 200g

1. melt butter in the room temperature


2. add sugar, salt and egg yolk, mix well


3. sift flour and add into butter mixture


4. mix well until very smooth


5. wrap the dough with plastic and keep in the fridge for 30mins


6. take out and roll it into 3mm to 4mm thickness


7. use your favorite cookie cutters


8. bake for 15 to 18mins at 170C

* put some flour on the cookie cutter to have a better cut * for chocolate favor: cake flour 180g + chocolate powder 20g
